James Frizelle's Auto Group Zoom-Zoom's after upgrade
James Frizelle's today commenced stage 1 in a revision and re-implementation of network services. These upgrades, which are based around aggregation and consolidation using the latest Cisco Integrated Services Routers (ISR) to decommission 3 routers in favour of 1 centralised ISR. Partnering with Betta Computer Services, Hi-Powered Networking was able to streamline the network and remove many redundant routes and other problem areas that had caused some performance degradation.
Cost benefits were obvious with the upgrade - with less maintenance costs, and less costs in terms of management overhead, as well as reduced complexity. Hi-Powered Networking Engineers were also able to cut costs and take advantage of several pieces of poorly or underconfigured Cisco hardware - increasing the return on Frizelle's initial investment.
Performance benefits were also immediately obvious, with users reporting improved performance with core business applications... all before the stage 2 implementation of Quality of Service features!
With the success of this implementation, Hi-Powered Networking and Betta Computer Services are partnering to provide improved WLAN services - linking several Frizelle sites in close proximity, with a proposal involving Cisco Aironet Wireless Bridges, and Cisco Catalyst backbone switching devices, including the new Cisco Catalyst 2960G series Gigabit Layer 2 switches, and the Cisco Catalyst 3560G layer 3 switches.
Hi-Powered Networking looks forward to working more with James Frizelles Auto Group and Betta Computer Services in the future.
