Black Group consolidates WAN with Hi-Powered and saves
Black Toyota and Black Kubota today aggregated network services across their WAN to provide a single private network featuring aggregated Internet services.
Following on from the successful roll out of an MPLS network for Black Toyota in 2006, Hi-Powered Networking were asked to help consolidate Black Kubota and newly acquired entity Tracforce and pool resources in an effort to obtain economies of scale. Working with NR Solutions, Hi-Powered was tasked to provide a new WAN integration solution in only 22 days.
Hi-Powered proposed consolidation of Black Kubota and Tracforce into the larger company's WAN, and moving Internet access from Black Toyota in Dalby, to Hi-Powered's colocation facility. Simultaneously, a Netbox firewall would be used to replace the aging Black Toyota Squid Proxy server, and provide better and faster management and reporting on Internet usage to Blacks management. Blacks are already enjoying the benefits of reduced spam, and increased control over email attachments and Internet browsing.
